The Company

The “Hochleistungszentrum Kühtai GmbH”, the operating company behind the Kühtai High-Altitude Training Centre, is a 100% subsidiary of the Tourism Association of Innsbruck and its Holiday Villages. The Kühtai High-Altitude Training Centre nonetheless operates in the market as an independent enterprise and has its headquarters in Kühtai. Managing Director of Kühtai Betriebs GmbH is Wolfgang Suitner.

Enquiry processing

The processing of training camp enquiries as well as the allocation of places is carried out centrally through the tourist office in Kühtai. This guarantees the impartial treatment of enquiries and a fast response to athletes’ requirements. All athletes are free to select their accommodation to suit their own personal needs and wishes.

Sales and marketing

The marketing of the centre through direct contact with sports clubs in the southern German-speaking region is carried out for the main part by the Stuttgart-based sport agency “10:00”. Owing to the short travelling distance, Kühtai is a particularly attractive option for sports clubs and associations from this target area.

Training facilities

In the planning and construction of the Kühtai High-Altitude Training Centre, particular importance was placed on the installation of a high-quality sport infrastructure and training facilities and in integrating the existing tourist infrastructure in order to create an all-encompassing training resort offering high standards of comfort and ideal training conditions. On account of Kühtai’s high altitude and the resulting short summer, the active training season lasts from mid-May until mid-October. At present, athletes have use of the following training facilities:

• Skating track for speed skating training and inline skating (200-metre circumference)
• Artificial turf football pitch
• Running track (100 metres and 400 metres)
• Field and track athletics facility (shot put, high jump, long jump)
• Reservoir lake (rowing and canoeing)
• Beach Volleyball
• Beach Soccer
